Description
Before becoming the commander of an aircraft, any pilot must go through a Crew Resource Management course, which will help them develop their team management and leadership skills, relevant to their new position.
As leaders of the entire crew, and the captains in the chain of command, they will be expected to react efficiently in both standard and emergency situations. The use of authority and the responsibility that comes with decision making, are some of the challenges that commanders have to overcome. This course will provide commanders with the right tools to adjust to the new role and to manage even the most difficult situations on board.
This 1-day course is EASA and FAA compliant and is facilitated by one of our senior CRM trainers.
The subjects on this course include all modules required by regulators. Some examples:
- Refreshing the Basic principles of Crew Resource Management
- Effective Communication and Conflict Management
- Human Error
- Shared Situational Awareness
- Shared Decision Making
- Teamwork and Workload Management
- Chain of Command, Leadership and Followership
- Stress
- The Startle Effect and Resilience
- Automation, Monitoring and Intervention
- Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Culture
All these concepts will be facilitated by means of case studies as well as group and individual activities, so expect a highly interactive course! Feedback from the trainer will also be provided to enhance the learning experience and to provide guidance for the new role.
Courses commence at 08.00 UTC and the duration will be 8-hours, including breaks.
A certificate will be issued on completion of the course.
