EASA, and many Regulators worldwide, require that operators introduce a system for assessing non-technical skills (CRM) on the line and in the simulator; your instructors or line trainers may therefore be required to assess non-technical skills during line or simulator checks.
These systems are known as Behavioural Marker Schemes, but are more commonly referred to as NOTECHS, and they can be used to deliver the following:
- Assessment of non-technical skills to meet the Regulatory/Licensing requirement.
- Individual feedback to flight crew and trainees on their non-technical skills development.
- Provision of feedback for integration into the training programme.
- ITS assists their clients in designing and implementing NOTECHS schemes, and we can support you in all aspects of this process.
Within EASA it is also a requirement that any individual, tasked with undertaking line checks, must attend a training course to acquire the necessary skills to assess non-technical skills and in the implementation of the associated grading process.
ITS runs Assessment Skills Training courses to meet this requirement.
